56,184-acre Hiiu Shallow. Sector 06 Estonia coastal fishing map with an exact official national water-body boundary, EMODnet 2024 official Estonian E50M hydrographic DTM / traceable CDI assessed contours, source-assessed fishing spots, official regional fish evidence, seasonal forage guidance, public-access review and current-rule links. Official Estonian WFD named coastal assessment water in West Estonian Archipelago. This child is clipped to the exact source polygon and a trip-scale ownership window. Coverage classes and uncertainty limits are disclosed; this is a fishing-planning chart, not a navigation chart or catch forecast. The water tops out around 36 m. The depth chart comes from EMODnet, with national hydrographic source-reference audit bathymetric survey data, so the contours are survey-derived rather than computer-modeled. Here is how the season plays out for each species, straight from the data behind the map.
Veekogu joonistub 22 743 hektari suurusena, kallast 68.7 km. Nõgu on lihtne (kaldaindeks 1.3) — peaaegu kauss, seega sügavusjooned loevad rohkem kui kallas. Umbes 23% pinnast on madalam kui ~5 m — seal elab toiduahel. Otsast otsani mõõdab veekogu umbes 20.4 km, kõige laiemas kohas 18.8 km. Lähim kaardistatud veekogu on Hiiu Shallow - Sector 02, 12.9 km põhja poole.

Occurrence evidence does not promise a catch or establish that retention is legal. Current seasons, closures, protected species, gear rules and local restrictions always control. The roster may combine exact-water monitoring with habitat-filtered official regional evidence; it does not imply that every species is equally abundant throughout the mapped section.

When the water first warms, european perch slide up into 1 to 3.5 m. Summer is a 2.5 to 8.5 m game here, winter a 3.5 to 10 m one. Start at Weed flat. It's a weed flat holding about 1 m of water and rates prime come spring. The feeding windows run early morning. Keep a drop-shot micro plastics or a small crankbait (perch pattern) rigged through the warm months.
| Hooaeg | Sügavus | Parim aeg | Alusta siit | Landid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevad | 1 to 3.5 m | midday & dawn | Weed flat (1 m) | Small jig + curly tail, Inline spinner #1-2 |
| Suvi | 2.5 to 8.5 m | dawn | Sharp break (6 m) | Drop-shot micro plastics, Small crankbait (perch pattern) |
| Sügis | 3 to 10 m | midday | Sharp break (6 m) | Jigging spoon (small), Drop-shot on deep flats |
| Talv | 3.5 to 10 m | midday & dawn | Sharp break (6 m) | Tungsten jig + maggots, Small balance jig |
Spring northern pike on Hiiu Shallow - Sector 06 hold shallow, usually 0.5 to 2.5 m. They move out to 2.5 to 6 m in summer and finish the year down in 1.5 to 4.5 m. Put Weed flat first on the milk run — a weed flat near 1 m that grades prime for spring. The feeding windows run early morning and the evening. The summer box starts with a bucktail or a weedless spoon over cabbage.
| Hooaeg | Sügavus | Parim aeg | Alusta siit | Landid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevad | 0.5 to 2.5 m | midday & dawn | Weed flat (1 m) | #5 inline spinner, Spoon (red/white) |
| Suvi | 2.5 to 6 m | dawn & dusk | Sharp break (6 m) | Bucktail, Weedless spoon over cabbage |
| Sügis | 2 to 5.5 m | midday & dawn | Sharp break (4.5 m) | Big rubber (Bull Dawg style), Husky-style jerkbait |
| Talv | 1.5 to 4.5 m | midday | Weed flat (2 m) | Large jigging spoon |
When the water first warms, zander slide up into 1 to 4.5 m. Summer is a 4.5 to 11 m game here, winter a 6 to 12 m one. Start at Sharp break. It's a drop-off holding about 6 m of water and rates prime come fall. The feeding windows run the evening and early morning. Keep a vertical softbait over humps or a deep crankbait rigged through the warm months.
| Hooaeg | Sügavus | Parim aeg | Alusta siit | Landid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevad | 1 to 4.5 m | dusk & dawn | Rock reef (1.5 m) | Softbait on jighead (10-12 cm), Shallow crankbait at dusk |
| Suvi | 4.5 to 11 m | dusk & dawn | Sharp break (6 m) | Vertical softbait over humps, Deep crankbait |
| Sügis | 3.5 to 12 m | dusk & night | Sharp break (6 m) | Big softbait (12-16 cm) slow-rolled, Jigging spoon |
| Talv | 6 to 12 m | dusk & dawn | Sharp break (8 m) | Slow blade bait |
Come spring, look for atlantic herring tight to the bank in 1.5 to 7.5 m. They move out to 4.5 to 15 m in summer and finish the year down in 6 to 18 m. If you only fish one area, make it Sharp break: a drop-off around 6 m that scores good in summer. Best bite is early morning and the evening. A herring feather rig or a small silver jig is the honest summer answer here.
| Hooaeg | Sügavus | Parim aeg | Alusta siit | Landid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevad | 1.5 to 7.5 m | dawn & dusk | Rock reef (1.5 m) | Small herring feather rig, Micro jig rig |

| Sügis | 3 to 12 m | dawn & dusk | Sharp break (6 m) | Small feather rig, Compact silver spoon |
| Talv | 6 to 18 m | midday | Sharp break (13 m) | Small silver jig, Sparse feather rig |
Start shallow in spring: european flounder sit in 1.5 to 7.5 m that time of year. Warm water sends them out to 2 to 11 m; cold water stacks them in 4.5 to 15 m. Top water on the chart: Feeding flat, a feeding flat in the 9 m range, prime in summer. Fish it in early morning and the evening and you'll meet the bite. Throw a bottom jig with spinner blade until the fish tell you otherwise.

Come spring, look for sea trout tight to the bank in 1 to 6 m. Expect a summer slide to 4.5 to 15 m, then a winter hold in 1.5 to 9 m. Start at Rock reef. It's a rock pile holding about 1.5 m of water and rates prime come spring. Prime time lands in early morning and the evening. A deep-running wobbler or a trolled spoon is the honest summer answer here.

Season dates, license requirements, and size and bag limits for Estonia waters are set by the Keskkonnaamet (Estonian Environmental Board coastal fishing rules) — and special regulations can apply to Hiiu Shallow - Sector 06 specifically, so confirm the current rules before you fish. Before every Estonian coastal trip, check the current Keskkonnaamet fishing-right requirements, protected-species rules, seasonal closures, river-mouth restrictions, minimum sizes, gear limits and any area-specific conservation measures. A mapped contour, fishing-spot marker, species roster or nearby harbour is planning context only. It never grants fishing or retention rights, shoreline entry, parking, launching access, permission to enter a port, or safe-navigation clearance; local signs, land ownership, weather, ice and vessel traffic still control.
