15,446-acre Hiiu Shallow. Sector 01 Estonia coastal fishing map with an exact official national water-body boundary, EMODnet 2024 official Estonian E50M hydrographic DTM / traceable CDI assessed contours, source-assessed fishing spots, official regional fish evidence, seasonal forage guidance, public-access review and current-rule links. Official Estonian WFD named coastal assessment water in West Estonian Archipelago. This child is clipped to the exact source polygon and a trip-scale ownership window. Coverage classes and uncertainty limits are disclosed; this is a fishing-planning chart, not a navigation chart or catch forecast. The water tops out around 77 m. The depth chart comes from EMODnet, with national hydrographic source-reference audit bathymetric survey data, so the contours are survey-derived rather than computer-modeled. The season-by-season read for each species follows, from the map's own numbers.
Kaardil katab Hiiu Shallow - Sector 01 6 248 hektarit, kaldajoont 40.9 km. Kaldajoon on mõõdukalt liigestatud (indeks 1.5). Umbes 1% pinnast on madalam kui ~5 m — seal elab toiduahel. Otsast otsani mõõdab veekogu umbes 15.9 km, kõige laiemas kohas 7.9 km. Lähim kaardistatud veekogu on Hiiu Shallow - Sector 02, 11.3 km itta.

Occurrence evidence does not promise a catch or establish that retention is legal. Current seasons, closures, protected species, gear rules and local restrictions always control. The roster may combine exact-water monitoring with habitat-filtered official regional evidence; it does not imply that every species is equally abundant throughout the mapped section.

Start shallow in spring: european perch sit in 1 to 3.5 m that time of year. Summer pushes them deeper, 2.5 to 8.5 m, and winter fish settle into 3.5 to 10 m. Warm-month bites cluster around early morning. Throw a drop-shot micro plastics or a small crankbait (perch pattern) until the fish tell you otherwise.
| Hooaeg | Sügavus | Parim aeg | Alusta siit | Landid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevad | 1 to 3.5 m | midday & dawn | open water | Small jig + curly tail, Inline spinner #1-2 |
| Suvi | 2.5 to 8.5 m | dawn | open water | Drop-shot micro plastics, Small crankbait (perch pattern) |
| Sügis | 3 to 10 m | midday | open water | Jigging spoon (small), Drop-shot on deep flats |
| Talv | 3.5 to 10 m | midday & dawn | open water | Tungsten jig + maggots, Small balance jig |
The spring pattern is a shallow one: northern pike in 0.5 to 2.5 m. Midsummer fish sit out in 2.5 to 6 m before dropping to 1.5 to 4.5 m for winter. Plan around early morning and the evening in the warm months. Summer baits: a bucktail or a weedless spoon over cabbage gets it done.
| Hooaeg | Sügavus | Parim aeg | Alusta siit | Landid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevad | 0.5 to 2.5 m | midday & dawn | open water | #5 inline spinner, Spoon (red/white) |
| Suvi | 2.5 to 6 m | dawn & dusk | open water | Bucktail, Weedless spoon over cabbage |
| Sügis | 2 to 5.5 m | midday & dawn | open water | Big rubber (Bull Dawg style), Husky-style jerkbait |
| Talv | 1.5 to 4.5 m | midday | open water | Large jigging spoon |
Start shallow in spring: zander sit in 1 to 4.5 m that time of year. Summer pushes them deeper, 4.5 to 11 m, and winter fish settle into 6 to 12 m. Warm-month bites cluster around the evening and early morning. Throw a vertical softbait over humps or a deep crankbait until the fish tell you otherwise.
| Hooaeg | Sügavus | Parim aeg | Alusta siit | Landid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevad | 1 to 4.5 m | dusk & dawn | open water | Softbait on jighead (10-12 cm), Shallow crankbait at dusk |

| Talv | 6 to 12 m | dusk & dawn | open water | Slow blade bait |
The spring pattern is a shallow one: atlantic herring in 1.5 to 7.5 m. As the season builds they drop to 4.5 to 15 m, wintering in 6 to 18 m. Time it for early morning and the evening. Summer baits: a herring feather rig or a small silver jig gets it done.
| Hooaeg | Sügavus | Parim aeg | Alusta siit | Landid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevad | 1.5 to 7.5 m | dawn & dusk | open water | Small herring feather rig, Micro jig rig |

| Talv | 6 to 18 m | midday | open water | Small silver jig, Sparse feather rig |
When the water first warms, european flounder slide up into 1.5 to 7.5 m. By summer they slide out to 2 to 11 m, and by winter most fish are in 4.5 to 15 m. If you only fish one area, make it Feeding flat: a feeding flat around 12 m that scores good in fall. In summer the feeding windows fall in early morning and the evening. Keep a bottom jig with spinner blade rigged through the warm months.
| Hooaeg | Sügavus | Parim aeg | Alusta siit | Landid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevad | 1.5 to 7.5 m | dusk | open water | Small bucktail dragged on bottom |

| Sügis | 2.5 to 12 m | dusk | Feeding flat (12 m) | Compact bottom jig |
| Talv | 4.5 to 15 m | midday | Feeding flat (12 m) | Small bottom jig |
In spring, sea trout run shallow here, mostly 1 to 6 m. Summer pushes them deeper, 4.5 to 15 m, and winter fish settle into 1.5 to 9 m. Time it for early morning and the evening. You won't need more than a deep-running wobbler or a trolled spoon most summer days.

| Sügis | 1 to 7.5 m | dawn & dusk | open water | Coastal wobbler, Casting spoon |
| Talv | 1.5 to 9 m | midday | open water | Slow coastal spoon, Suspending wobbler |

Season dates, license requirements, and size and bag limits for Estonia waters are set by the Keskkonnaamet (Estonian Environmental Board coastal fishing rules) — and special regulations can apply to Hiiu Shallow - Sector 01 specifically, so confirm the current rules before you fish. Before every Estonian coastal trip, check the current Keskkonnaamet fishing-right requirements, protected-species rules, seasonal closures, river-mouth restrictions, minimum sizes, gear limits and any area-specific conservation measures. A mapped contour, fishing-spot marker, species roster or nearby harbour is planning context only. It never grants fishing or retention rights, shoreline entry, parking, launching access, permission to enter a port, or safe-navigation clearance; local signs, land ownership, weather, ice and vessel traffic still control.

Official coastal monitoring from Estonia national fisheries and coastal monitoring agencies informs the european perch, northern pike, zander, atlantic herring, european flounder, sea trout, european whitefish, atlantic salmon roster for Hiiu Shallow - Sector 01. The mixed roster combines exact-water records where available with habitat-filtered regional evidence; not every species is documented at this exact water, and it is not a promise of equal abundance or a catch on a particular trip.
Feeding flat is the top-rated area: a feeding flat in about 38 ft of water that rates good for european flounder in fall. The map above holds the full rated-spot list for every species and season.
For european perch, the summer bite is best in early morning. Each species page section below lists the seasonal windows, and the map shows a live NOW badge when you're inside one.
