Noin 35% pinnasta on matalampaa kuin ~5 m — siellä ruokaketju elää. Päästä päähän vesi mittaa noin 7.6 km, leveimmillään 2.6 km. Vesi sijaitsee alueella Mikkelin seutukunta. Lähin kartoitettu vesi on Kuolimo, 8 km etelään.
