In spring, european perch run shallow here, mostly 1 to 3.5 m. Midsummer fish sit out in 2.5 to 8.5 m before dropping to 3.5 to 10 m for winter. Spring european perch concentrate at Back-bay flat, a prime-rated weed flat around 1 m. Fish it in early morning and you'll meet the bite. You won't need more than a drop-shot micro plastics or a small crankbait (perch pattern) most summer days.

In spring, northern pike run shallow here, mostly 0.5 to 2.5 m. Summer pushes them deeper, 2.5 to 6 m, and winter fish settle into 1.5 to 4.5 m. Shallow bay flat is the standout, a weed flat at roughly 0.5 m, rated prime for spring northern pike. Time it for early morning and the evening. You won't need more than a bucktail or a weedless spoon over cabbage most summer days.
