Spring puts northern pike in skinny water — 0.5 to 2.5 m is the zone. As the season builds they drop to 2.5 to 6 m, wintering in 1.5 to 4.5 m. Spring northern pike concentrate at Weed flat, a prime-rated weed flat around 2 m. Warm-month bites cluster around early morning and the evening.
