The drawn water covers 62 acres wrapped in 2.5 miles of bank. The 2.2 development index tells the story — a convoluted bank whose fishable edge far outruns the acreage. About 56% of the surface sits shallower than 15 ft — that's the weed-and-bait zone. The basin spans about 1.1 mi end to end and 0.2 mi across at its widest. If the bite dies, Black Lake is 1 mi to the west.
When the water first warms, pacific chinook salmon slide up into 30 to 120 ft. Summer is a 20 to 150 ft game here, winter a 45 to 162 ft one. Start at Roscoe entrance basin. When the water first warms, pacific coho salmon slide up into 10 to 70 ft. By summer they slide out to 10 to 100 ft, and by winter most fish are in 30 to 100 ft. If you only fish one area, make it Roscoe inner basin: a deep basin around 43 ft that scores prime in winter. In summer the feeding windows fall in early morning and the evening. Keep a small hoochie behind a flasher or a slim spoon rigged through the warm months.
