1,062-acre Lookout Bight fishing map with NOAA BlueTopo and W00334 survey contours (65.8% measured, 100% assessed), exact NOAA ESI fish and forage, measured wreck, pier and 2020 SAV spots, two OPEN mainland ramps, Cape Lookout guidance and current North Carolina rules. The water tops out around 38 ft. The depth chart is built from real agency bathymetry referenced to NAVD88; directly measured coverage remains distinguished from source interpolation. The channels, holes and drop-offs come from the source data, not a distance-from-shore model. The rest of this page walks each species through its year, using the map's own scoring.
The drawn water covers 1,062 acres wrapped in 6.8 miles of bank — one island included. A middling shoreline index (1.5) gives it some bays to work without being a maze. 65% of the surface is littoral (under ~15 ft) — cover, weeds and forage water. Figure 2.1 mi of water from one end to the other, 1.4 mi at the beam. Back Sound sits 4 mi northwest — the closest neighbouring chart.
Spring red drum (redfish) on Lookout Bight hold shallow, usually 1 to 8 ft. They move out to 2 to 12 ft in summer and finish the year down in 3 to 15 ft. Put 2020 NC DMF mapped patchy SAV edge first on the milk run — a seagrass edge near 4 ft that grades prime for spring. The feeding windows run early morning and the evening. The summer box starts with a weedless gold spoon or a paddletail swimbait.

Spring spotted seatrout concentrate at 2020 NC DMF mapped patchy SAV edge, a prime-rated seagrass edge around 4 ft. Warm-month bites cluster around early morning. A popping cork + shrimp or a 1/4 oz jighead + paddletail (deep grass edge) covers the summer program.
