21,799-acre lake near Lohja. The largest lake in Uusimaa, west of Helsinki. A clear, deep, 30-plus-species water best known for its strong zander fishing. The lake tops out around 52 m. When the water first warms, zander slide up into 1 to 4.5 m. By summer they slide out to 4.5 to 11 m, and by winter most fish are in 6 to 12 m. If you only fish one area, make it Rock reef: a rock pile around 2 m that scores prime in spring. In summer the feeding windows fall in the evening and early morning. Keep a vertical softbait over humps or a deep crankbait rigged through the warm months.

Start shallow in spring: brown trout sit in 1 to 7.5 m that time of year. Summer pushes them deeper, 7.5 to 18 m, and winter fish settle into 1.5 to 11 m.
