Kartalla Lahnavesi kattaa 1 324 hehtaaria, rantaviivaa 46.2 km. Rantaviiva on voimakkaasti rikkonainen (indeksi 3.6) — lahtia ja niemiä kaikkialla, mikä moninkertaistaa kalastettavan reunan. Noin 43% pinnasta on matalampaa kuin ~5 m — siellä ruokaketju elää. Päästä päähän vesi mittaa noin 10.6 km, leveimmillään 4 km. Vesi sijaitsee alueella Mikkelin seutukunta. Lähin kartoitettu vesi on Pieni Pyhävesi, 4.8 km itään.

If you only fish one area, make it Deep basin: a deep basin around 26 m that scores prime in summer. Best bite is early morning. A blade bait vertical or a small jigging spoon is the honest summer answer here.
