170-acre lake near Québec. The lake tops out around 50 ft. The depth chart comes from published agency bathymetric survey data, so the contours are survey-derived rather than computer-modeled. Here is how the season plays out for each species, straight from the data behind the map.
Lac Armstrong maps at 170 acres behind 2.4 miles of shoreline. Nearly circular (index 1.3), so the story is the bottom, not the bank. Roughly 35% of the water is 15 ft or less, the band where the food chain lives. End to end it runs roughly 1.1 mi, about 0.4 mi across. It sits in La Vallée-de-la-Gatineau MRC. If the bite dies, Lac Kellog is 2 mi to the west.

Early season brook trout use the shallows, holding in 2 to 15 ft. Expect a summer slide to 10 to 30 ft, then a winter hold in 3 to 20 ft. Put Shallow bay flat first on the milk run — a weed flat near 5 ft that grades good for spring. In summer the feeding windows fall in early morning and the evening. Tie on a small spoon fished deep or a trolled lake-clear wobbler + worm and you're in the game.

If you only fish one area, make it Deep basin: a deep basin around 49 ft that scores prime in summer. In summer the feeding windows fall in early morning. Keep a white tube jig (deep) or a magnum spoon on downrigger rigged through the warm months.
