35-acre lake near Québec. The lake tops out around 40 ft. The depth chart comes from published agency bathymetric survey data, so the contours are survey-derived rather than computer-modeled. The rest of this page walks each species through its year, using the map's own scoring.
Lac Venne maps at 35 acres behind 0.9 miles of shoreline. The basin is a simple one (shoreline index 1.1) — close to a bowl, so the structure on the chart matters more than the bank. Roughly 19% of the water is 15 ft or less, the band where the food chain lives. Call it 0.3 mi long by 0.3 mi wide at the broadest reach. La Vallée-de-la-Gatineau MRC claims this one. Its nearest charted neighbour, Lac Tessie, is 3 mi to the south.

Come spring, look for brook trout tight to the bank in 2 to 15 ft. They move out to 10 to 30 ft in summer and finish the year down in 3 to 20 ft. If you only fish one area, make it Shallow bay flat: a feeding flat around 7 ft that scores good in spring. Best bite is early morning and the evening. A small spoon fished deep or a trolled lake-clear wobbler + worm is the honest summer answer here.
