278-acre lake in Cochrane District, Ontario. The lake tops out around 40 ft. The depth chart comes from Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry bathymetric survey data, so the contours are survey-derived rather than computer-modeled. L. 17H-77 maps at 277 acres behind 4.6 miles of shoreline, broken up by an island. With a 2 development index there's bank structure worth casting at, in moderation. The shallow band under 15 ft claims about 97% of the surface — that's where the groceries are. Figure 1.1 mi of water from one end to the other, 1 mi at the beam. Cochrane District claims this one. In spring, walleye run shallow here, mostly 4 to 15 ft. Summer pushes them deeper, 15 to 35 ft, and winter fish settle into 20 to 40 ft. Deep basin is the standout, a deep basin at roughly 33 ft, rated prime for winter walleye. Time it for the evening and early morning. You won't need more than a crawler harness on bottom bouncer or a deep crankbait (trolled) most summer days.

When the water first warms, northern pike slide up into 2 to 8 ft. By summer they slide out to 8 to 20 ft, and by winter most fish are in 5 to 15 ft. If you only fish one area, make it Shallow bay flat: a weed flat around 1 ft that scores prime in spring. In summer the feeding windows fall in early morning and the evening. Keep a bucktail or a weedless spoon over cabbage rigged through the warm months.
