Come spring, look for european perch tight to the bank in 1 to 3.5 m. Expect a summer slide to 2.5 to 8.5 m, then a winter hold in 3.5 to 10 m. Start at Back-bay flat. It's a weed flat holding about 1.5 m of water and rates prime come spring. Prime time lands in early morning. A drop-shot micro plastics or a small crankbait (perch pattern) is the honest summer answer here.

In spring, lake whitefish run shallow here, mostly 3 to 10 m. Summer keeps them at 3 to 10 m, and they winter in 3 to 10 m. Summer lake whitefish concentrate at Deep basin, a prime-rated deep basin around 6.5 m. Fish it in early morning and you'll meet the bite. You won't need more than a blade bait vertical or a small jigging spoon most summer days.
