54-acre Cotton Bayou fishing map with NOAA BlueTopo survey contours (98.88% measured, 99.63% assessed), source-traceable measured fishing structure, exact NOAA Alabama ESI fish occurrence, sourced forage timing and verified public access. The water tops out around 9 ft. The depth chart is built from real agency bathymetry referenced to NAVD88; directly measured coverage remains distinguished from source interpolation. The channels, holes and drop-offs come from the source data, not a distance-from-shore model. Here's the year, species by species, as the scoring engine sees it.
Cotton Bayou maps at 54 acres behind 1.7 miles of shoreline, broken up by an island. A middling shoreline index (1.6) gives it some bays to work without being a maze. The whole water is littoral — nothing here runs deeper than ~15 ft, so it's all weed-and-bait territory. The basin spans about 0.4 mi end to end and 0.3 mi across at its widest. Perdido Pass sits 1 mi south — the closest neighbouring chart.
In spring, gray snapper (mangrove snapper) run shallow here, mostly 1 to 9 ft. Summer keeps them at 1 to 9 ft, and they winter in 2 to 9 ft. Winter gray snapper (mangrove snapper) concentrate at NOAA BlueTopo measured inlet-channel depth, a prime-rated channel edge around 9 ft. Fish it in early morning and the evening and you'll meet the bite. You won't need more than a small bucktail or a paddletail most summer days.

Put NOAA BlueTopo measured channel shoulder first on the milk run — a gravel shoal near 5 ft that grades prime for fall. In summer the feeding windows fall in early morning and the evening. Tie on a weedless gold spoon or a paddletail swimbait and you're in the game.
