42-acre lake in Cochrane District, Ontario. The lake tops out around 46 ft. The contours come from a model of the real basin shape and its known max depth. Read them as probabilities, not soundings, and keep them out of navigation decisions. What the data behind the map says about each species, season by season:
Drawn out, this is 42 acres of water rimmed by 1.7 miles of bank. Index 1.9 on the shoreline: a few honest points and pockets, nothing labyrinthine. About 53% of the surface sits shallower than 15 ft on the modeled chart — that's the weed-and-bait zone. Figure 0.6 mi of water from one end to the other, 0.2 mi at the beam. You'll find it in Cochrane District. The nearest mapped water is Pike Lake, 1 mi to the east.
When the water first warms, lake whitefish slide up into 15 to 45 ft. Summer is a 14 to 46 ft game here, winter a 14 to 46 ft one. Start at Deep basin. It's a deep basin holding about 39 ft of water and rates prime come summer. The feeding windows run early morning. Keep a blade bait vertical or a small jigging spoon rigged through the warm months.
Depth note: when a documented seasonal range extends below this chart, the table shows the deepest mapped working water, not a verified holding depth.
| Season | Depth | Best window | Start at | Go-to baits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spring | 15 to 45 ft | midday & dawn | Break off the point (21 ft) | Small jig + waxworm, Blade bait (small) |

Early season walleye use the shallows, holding in 4 to 15 ft. Expect a summer slide to 15 to 35 ft, then a winter hold in 20 to 40 ft. Put Break off the point first on the milk run — a drop-off near 21 ft that grades prime for fall. In summer the feeding windows fall in the evening and early morning. Tie on a crawler harness on bottom bouncer or a deep crankbait (trolled) and you're in the game.

Spring puts northern pike in skinny water — 2 to 8 ft is the zone. Warm water sends them out to 8 to 20 ft; cold water stacks them in 5 to 15 ft. Shallow bay flat is the standout, a weed flat at roughly 6 ft, rated prime for spring northern pike. Plan around early morning and the evening in the warm months. A bucktail or a weedless spoon over cabbage covers the summer program.
