Noin 46% pinnasta on matalampaa kuin ~5 m — siellä ruokaketju elää. Päästä päähän vesi mittaa noin 5 km, leveimmillään 2.6 km. Vesi sijaitsee alueella Tampereen seutukunta. Lähin kartoitettu vesi on Näsijärvi, 8 km lounaaseen.
