35-acre lake in Missouri. MDC-managed public fishing lake. The lake tops out around 15 ft. The contours come from a model of the real basin shape and its known max depth. Drawn out, this is 35 acres of water rimmed by 3 miles of bank. An index of 3.6 puts the bank firmly in maze territory: point after pocket after cove, every one a casting target. Call it 0.6 mi long by 0.3 mi wide at the broadest reach. The water lies in Audrain County. The nearest mapped water is Wellsville Lake Conservation Area, 14 mi to the south.
The spring pattern is a shallow one: largemouth bass in 2 to 10 ft. As the season builds they drop to 5 to 15 ft, wintering in 5 to 15 ft. In spring, bluegill run shallow here, mostly 1 to 6 ft. Summer pushes them deeper, 4 to 15 ft, and winter fish settle into 5 to 15 ft.
