Drawn out, this is 1,578 acres of water rimmed by 18.3 miles of bank. A development index of 3.3 means a maze of bays and points: far more casting targets than a round bowl of the same size. 32% of the surface is littoral (under ~15 ft) — cover, weeds and forage water. Spring walleye on Union Falls Flow hold shallow, usually 4 to 15 ft. They move out to 8 to 25 ft in summer and finish the year down in 8 to 25 ft. Put Deep basin first on the milk run — a deep basin near 25 ft that grades prime for winter. The feeding windows run the evening and early morning.
