7,185-acre lake near Sodankylä. The third-largest lake in Sodankylä, Lapland, on the Meltausjoki. A strong vendace water that also holds pike, perch and introduced zander. The lake tops out around 23 m. The depth chart comes from Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) bathymetric survey data, so the contours are survey-derived rather than computer-modeled. Spring puts northern pike in skinny water — 0.5 to 2.5 m is the zone. Warm water sends them out to 2.5 to 6 m; cold water stacks them in 1.5 to 4.5 m. Shallow bay flat is the standout, a weed flat at roughly 1 m, rated prime for spring northern pike. Plan around early morning and the evening in the warm months. A bucktail or a weedless spoon over cabbage covers the summer program.

Spring european perch concentrate at Shallow bay flat, a prime-rated weed flat around 1 m. Warm-month bites cluster around early morning.
