76-acre lake in Algoma District, Ontario. The lake tops out around 100 ft. What you see is a modeled chart: the shoreline is real, the max depth is published, and the contours between are estimated. Plan with it; don't navigate by it. What the data behind the map says about each species, season by season:
Drawn out, this is 76 acres of water rimmed by 2.6 miles of bank. A development index of 2.2 means a maze of bays and points: far more casting targets than a round bowl of the same size. Roughly 36% of the water is 15 ft or less as modeled, the band where the food chain lives. Figure 0.8 mi of water from one end to the other, 0.3 mi at the beam. You'll find it in Algoma District. The nearest mapped water is Emond Lake, 1 mi to the north.
Spring puts brook trout in skinny water — 2 to 15 ft is the zone. As the season builds they drop to 10 to 30 ft, wintering in 3 to 20 ft. Spring brook trout concentrate at Shallow bay flat, a good-rated weed flat around 6 ft. Warm-month bites cluster around early morning and the evening. A small spoon fished deep or a trolled lake-clear wobbler + worm covers the summer program.
| Season | Depth | Best window | Start at | Go-to baits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spring | 2 to 15 ft | dawn & dusk | Shallow bay flat (6 ft) | Small inline spinner (gold), Tiny spoon |
| Summer | 10 to 30 ft | dawn & dusk | open water | Small spoon fished deep, Trolled lake-clear wobbler + worm |
| Fall | 2 to 15 ft | midday & dawn | open water | Small spoon (orange), Spinner |
| Winter | 3 to 20 ft | dawn | Shallow bay flat (6 ft) | Small jigging spoon, Tungsten jig + plastic |
In spring, lake trout run shallow here, mostly 10 to 40 ft. Midsummer fish sit out in 30 to 100 ft before dropping to 20 to 80 ft for winter. Summer lake trout concentrate at Deep basin, a prime-rated deep basin around 85 ft. Fish it in early morning and you'll meet the bite. You won't need more than a white tube jig (deep) or a magnum spoon on downrigger most summer days.
Depth note: when a documented seasonal range extends below this chart, the table shows the deepest mapped working water, not a verified holding depth.
