The spring pattern is a shallow one: european perch in 0.5 to 2.5 m. The depth story barely changes: 1 to 2.5 m through summer, 1 to 2.5 m in winter. Start shallow in spring: northern pike sit in 0.5 to 2.5 m that time of year. Warm water sends them out to 1 to 2.5 m; cold water stacks them in 1 to 2.5 m. Spring puts burbot in skinny water — 1 to 2.5 m is the zone. Summer fish stay in 1 to 2.5 m, and winter fish hold in 0.5 to 2.5 m.
