3,884-acre lake in Finland. The lake tops out around 20 m. The depth chart comes from Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) bathymetric survey data, so the contours are survey-derived rather than computer-modeled. Here is how the season plays out for each species, straight from the data behind the map.
Vesi piirtyy 1 620 hehtaarin laajuisena, rantaa 53.3 km. Rantaviiva on voimakkaasti rikkonainen (indeksi 3.7) — lahtia ja niemiä kaikkialla, mikä moninkertaistaa kalastettavan reunan. Noin 54% pinnasta on matalampaa kuin ~5 m — siellä ruokaketju elää. Päästä päähän vesi mittaa noin 8 km, leveimmillään 6 km. Vesi sijaitsee alueella Savonlinnan seutukunta. Lähin kartoitettu vesi on Lammunjärvi, 6.4 km etelään.

Early season european perch use the shallows, holding in 1 to 3.5 m. Expect a summer slide to 2.5 to 8.5 m, then a winter hold in 3.5 to 10 m. Put Break off the point first on the milk run — a drop-off near 6 m that grades prime for summer. In summer the feeding windows fall in early morning. Tie on a drop-shot micro plastics or a small crankbait (perch pattern) and you're in the game.
| Kausi | Syvyys | Paras aika | Aloita | Vieheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevät | 1 to 3.5 m | midday & dawn | Shallow bay flat (0.5 m) | Small jig + curly tail, Inline spinner #1-2 |
| Kesä | 2.5 to 8.5 m | dawn | Break off the point (6 m) | Drop-shot micro plastics, Small crankbait (perch pattern) |
| Syksy | 3 to 10 m | midday | Break off the point (6 m) | Jigging spoon (small), Drop-shot on deep flats |
| Talvi | 3.5 to 10 m | midday & dawn | Break off the point (6 m) | Tungsten jig + maggots, Small balance jig |
Come spring, look for northern pike tight to the bank in 0.5 to 2.5 m. Expect a summer slide to 2.5 to 6 m, then a winter hold in 1.5 to 4.5 m. Start at Shallow bay flat. It's a weed flat holding about 0.5 m of water and rates prime come spring. Prime time lands in early morning and the evening. A bucktail or a weedless spoon over cabbage is the honest summer answer here.

Early season zander use the shallows, holding in 1 to 4.5 m. Expect a summer slide to 4.5 to 11 m, then a winter hold in 6 to 12 m. Put Break off the point first on the milk run — a drop-off near 6 m that grades prime for fall. In summer the feeding windows fall in the evening and early morning. Tie on a vertical softbait over humps or a deep crankbait and you're in the game.
| Kausi | Syvyys | Paras aika | Aloita | Vieheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevät | 1 to 4.5 m | dusk & dawn | Main-lake point (2 m) | Softbait on jighead (10-12 cm), Shallow crankbait at dusk |
| Kesä | 4.5 to 11 m | dusk & dawn | Break off the point (6 m) | Vertical softbait over humps, Deep crankbait |
| Syksy | 3.5 to 12 m | dusk & night | Break off the point (6 m) | Big softbait (12-16 cm) slow-rolled, Jigging spoon |
| Talvi | 6 to 12 m | dusk & dawn | Break off the point (6 m) | Vertical jig / mormyshka with bait, Slow blade bait |
The spring pattern is a shallow one: lake whitefish in 4.5 to 14 m. Midsummer fish sit out in 6 to 20 m before dropping to 6 to 20 m for winter. The spot to know is Deep basin, a deep basin in about 20 m of water that rates prime for lake whitefish in summer. Plan around early morning in the warm months. Summer baits: a blade bait vertical or a small jigging spoon gets it done.

If you only fish one area, make it Deep basin: a deep basin around 20 m that scores prime in spring. Best bite is after dark and midday. A heavy jig + cut bait is the honest summer answer here.
