Early season brown trout use the shallows, holding in 1 to 7.5 m. Expect a summer slide to 7.5 to 18 m, then a winter hold in 1.5 to 11 m. Put Break off the point first on the milk run — a drop-off near 16 m that grades prime for summer. In summer the feeding windows fall in after dark and early morning.
