That shoreline is heavily fingered (development index 3.1) — bays, points and pockets everywhere, which multiplies the fishable edge. When the water first warms, cutthroat trout slide up into 3 to 15 ft. Summer is a 10 to 35 ft game here, winter a 10 to 40 ft one. Start at Main-lake point. It's a point holding about 35 ft of water and rates prime come summer. The feeding windows run early morning and the evening. Keep a trolled spoon (small) or an inline spinner rigged through the warm months.

Spring puts kokanee in skinny water — 10 to 30 ft is the zone. Warm water sends them out to 30 to 70 ft; cold water stacks them in 20 to 80 ft. Break off the point is the standout, a drop-off at roughly 63 ft, rated prime for summer kokanee. Plan around early morning in the warm months. A dodger + pink/orange squid on downrigger or a kokanee bug + corn covers the summer program.
