Spring red drum (redfish) on Sapelo Sound hold shallow, usually 1 to 8 ft. By summer they slide out to 2 to 12 ft, and by winter most fish are in 3 to 15 ft. Front River inflow is the standout, a inflow / creek mouth at roughly 11 ft, rated prime for fall red drum (redfish). Plan around early morning and the evening in the warm months. A weedless gold spoon or a paddletail swimbait covers the summer program.
