Drawn out, this is 83 acres of water rimmed by 1.7 miles of bank. At index 1.4 the outline is almost a bowl — read the depth changes, not the shoreline. Every acre of it sits shallower than ~15 ft: one big littoral zone, cover and forage throughout. Figure 0.7 mi of water from one end to the other, 0.3 mi at the beam. The water lies in Greater Sudbury / Grand Sudbury. For a second option, Hannah Lake lies 1 mi south.
Early season pumpkinseed use the shallows, holding in 1 to 8 ft. Expect a summer slide to 2 to 10 ft, then a winter hold in 3 to 10 ft. Put Shallow bay flat first on the milk run — a weed flat near 3 ft that grades prime for spring. In summer the feeding windows fall in the evening and early morning. Tie on a micro tube or a sponge spider (fly) and you're in the game.
