Spring puts lake whitefish in skinny water — 4.5 to 14 m is the zone. As the season builds they drop to 7.5 to 25 m, wintering in 7.5 to 21 m. Summer lake whitefish concentrate at Deep basin, a prime-rated deep basin around 25 m. Warm-month bites cluster around early morning. A blade bait vertical or a small jigging spoon covers the summer program.

When the water first warms, european perch slide up into 1 to 3.5 m. Summer is a 2.5 to 8.5 m game here, winter a 3.5 to 10 m one. Start at Shallow bay flat. It's a weed flat holding about 1.5 m of water and rates prime come spring. The feeding windows run early morning. Keep a drop-shot micro plastics or a small crankbait (perch pattern) rigged through the warm months.

Spring northern pike on Pyhäjärvi (Säkylä) hold shallow, usually 0.5 to 2.5 m. They move out to 2.5 to 6 m in summer and finish the year down in 1.5 to 4.5 m. Put Shallow bay flat first on the milk run — a weed flat near 1.5 m that grades prime for spring. The feeding windows run early morning and the evening. Early season burbot use the shallows, holding in 7.5 to 21 m. Expect a summer slide to 7.5 to 25 m, then a winter hold in 4.5 to 18 m. Put Deep basin first on the milk run — a deep basin near 25 m that grades prime for summer. In summer the feeding windows fall in after dark and midday. Tie on a heavy jig + cut bait and you're in the game.

Start shallow in spring: brown trout sit in 1 to 7.5 m that time of year. Warm water sends them out to 7.5 to 18 m; cold water stacks them in 1.5 to 11 m.
