In spring, european perch run shallow here, mostly 1 to 3.5 m. Midsummer fish sit out in 2.5 to 8.5 m before dropping to 3.5 to 10 m for winter. Spring european perch concentrate at Back-bay flat, a prime-rated weed flat around 1 m. Fish it in early morning and you'll meet the bite. You won't need more than a drop-shot micro plastics or a small crankbait (perch pattern) most summer days.

Come spring, look for cisco (lake herring) tight to the bank in 3 to 12 m. Expect a summer slide to 6.5 to 22 m, then a winter hold in 6 to 18 m. Start at Deep basin. It's a deep basin holding about 21 m of water and rates prime come summer. Prime time lands in early morning. A vertical flutter spoon (small) or a drop-shot micro plastic is the honest summer answer here.
