Drawn out, this is 6,877 acres of water rimmed by 21.1 miles of bank. The shoreline is moderately structured (index 1.8) — enough points and pockets to pattern. There is no deep basin to speak of — the entire surface is under ~15 ft, prime weed water end to end. Tip to tip the water measures near 8.4 mi with a 2.4-mi widest point. The water lies in Kenora District. For a second option, Opinnagau Lake lies 12 mi west.
In spring, brook trout run shallow here, mostly 2 to 15 ft. Midsummer fish sit out in 10 to 30 ft before dropping to 3 to 20 ft for winter. Summer brook trout concentrate at Deep basin, a prime-rated deep basin around 30 ft. Fish it in early morning and the evening and you'll meet the bite. You won't need more than a small spoon fished deep or a trolled lake-clear wobbler + worm most summer days.
