32,611-acre lake in Voyageurs National Park. Deep, clear border water with rock, current and cold-water lake trout alongside the walleye and smallmouth. The Minnesota side of an international lake. Start shallow in spring: walleye sit in 4 to 15 ft that time of year. Summer pushes them deeper, 15 to 35 ft, and winter fish settle into 20 to 40 ft. Sharp break is the standout, a drop-off at roughly 32 ft, rated prime for fall walleye. Plan around the evening and early morning in the warm months.
