28-acre lake near Paroisse de Bathurst. Government of New Brunswick lake depth survey. The lake tops out around 4 ft. The depth chart comes from Government of New Brunswick DNRED bathymetric survey data, so the contours are survey-derived rather than computer-modeled. What the data behind the map says about each species, season by season:
Muddy Lake maps at 28 acres behind 1.5 miles of shoreline. A middling shoreline index (2) gives it some bays to work without being a maze. All of it is shallow-zone water — under ~15 ft across the entire basin, so the food chain has the run of the place. The basin spans about 0.5 mi end to end and 0.2 mi across at its widest. It sits in Gloucester County. If the bite dies, Lovalls Lake is 3 mi to the northeast.
Spring smallmouth bass on Muddy Lake hold shallow, usually 1 to 4 ft. Depth-wise the year is flat: 1 to 4 ft in summer, 1 to 4 ft once it turns cold. Put Deep basin first on the milk run — a deep basin near 4 ft that grades good for winter. The feeding windows run early morning and the evening. The summer box starts with a drop shot (goby/minnow) or a ned rig.
Depth note: when a documented seasonal range extends below this chart, the table shows the deepest mapped working water, not a verified holding depth.

You won't need more than a weedless spoon + trailer or a buzzbait most summer days.
