One estuary-wide page would hide major differences between the long Intracoastal Waterway reaches and the compact ocean inlet. Official NOAA and FDEP water polygons preserve each area at useful scale, and every child keeps its own survey, fish, forage, access and restriction review.

The best applicable NOAA and Intracoastal Waterway surveys still leave 49.02% of Upper Matanzas River and 34.51% of Lower Matanzas River unsupported, with P95 uncertainty above two meters.
