Masset Inlet is a large, complex system. DFO sanitary area 1.4 supplies an exact Port Clements child, allowing its shoreline, depth coverage, fish evidence, access and rules to pass independently without extending those claims across the full inlet.
Contributor-qualified CHS NONNA 10 cells cover all 1,124 exact-boundary targets as directly measured and assessed, with no unsupported cells and 0.598 metre P95 vertical uncertainty. Depths are below CHS Chart Datum, not live tide or navigation depths.
DFO defines the child as waters and intertidal foreshore. CanCoast and low-tide-image ShoreZone lines narrowly missed the fixed threshold along one wide intertidal flat. The official CHS high-water line is the matching vertical shoreline reference and passes the unchanged gate with all legal anchors exact; no waiver was used.
DFO's August 2020 notice expressly reports Pink salmon marine observations near Port Clements, while preserving diminished-abundance and no-surplus caveats. Chum and the 1976 herring-spawn event are named-parent Masset Inlet evidence, not exact-child catch predictions.
The current G̱aw Ḵáahlii refuge components lie elsewhere in broader Masset Inlet and do not intersect the exact Port Clements child, so they are linked as broader-system context but are not painted onto this page. Live DFO rules and boundaries always control.
