112-acre lake in Parry Sound District, Ontario. The lake tops out around 15 ft. Depth here is modeled from the true shoreline and max depth rather than surveyed; use it to plan, not to navigate. What follows comes from the same scoring engine that paints the spots above.
Mary Jane Lake maps at 112 acres behind 3.4 miles of shoreline. With a shoreline index of 2.3, this water is all arms and coves — edge habitat well beyond its acreage. Figure 1.1 mi of water from one end to the other, 0.5 mi at the beam. Parry Sound District claims this one. If the bite dies, Cooks L. is 1 mi to the north.
The spring pattern is a shallow one: yellow perch in 3 to 12 ft. As the season builds they drop to 5 to 15 ft, wintering in 5 to 15 ft. When the water first warms, northern pike slide up into 2 to 8 ft. By summer they slide out to 5 to 15 ft, and by winter most fish are in 5 to 15 ft.
