761-acre lake in Strathcona Regional District, British Columbia. The lake tops out around 151 ft. The contours come from a model of the real basin shape and its known max depth. Read them as probabilities, not soundings, and keep them out of navigation decisions. The rest of this page walks each species through its year, using the map's own scoring.
On the chart, Main Lake draws 761 acres inside 8.6 miles of shoreline, broken up by 5 islands. An index of 2.2 puts the bank firmly in maze territory: point after pocket after cove, every one a casting target. 4% of the surface is littoral (under ~15 ft), per the model — cover, weeds and forage water. The basin spans about 2.4 mi end to end and 1.1 mi across at its widest. The water lies in Strathcona Regional District. The nearest mapped water is Village Bay Lake, 2 mi to the south.
Come spring, look for cutthroat trout tight to the bank in 3 to 15 ft. They move out to 10 to 35 ft in summer and finish the year down in 10 to 40 ft. If you only fish one area, make it Main-lake point: a point around 38 ft that scores prime in summer. Best bite is early morning and the evening. A trolled spoon (small) or an inline spinner is the honest summer answer here.
| Season | Depth | Best window | Start at | Go-to baits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spring | 3 to 15 ft | dawn & dusk | open water | Inline spinner (silver/gold), Small spoon |
| Summer | 10 to 35 ft | dawn & dusk | Main-lake point (38 ft) | Trolled spoon (small), Inline spinner |
| Fall | 5 to 25 ft | dawn & dusk | open water | Casting spoon, Inline spinner |

Summer kokanee concentrate at Break off the point, a prime-rated drop-off around 68 ft. Fish it in early morning and you'll meet the bite. You won't need more than a dodger + pink/orange squid on downrigger or a kokanee bug + corn most summer days.
