101-acre lake in Mount Waddington Regional District, British Columbia. The lake tops out around 61 ft. The contours come from a model of the real basin shape and its known max depth. Read them as probabilities, not soundings, and keep them out of navigation decisions. Every species below gets its seasonal read from the same numbers driving the chart.
Drawn out, this is 101 acres of water rimmed by 1.9 miles of bank. Nearly circular (index 1.4), so the story is the bottom, not the bank. About 13% of the surface sits shallower than 15 ft on the modeled chart — that's the weed-and-bait zone. Figure 0.9 mi of water from one end to the other, 0.3 mi at the beam. You'll find it in Mount Waddington Regional District. Closest neighbour on DepthScout: Viola Lake, 3 mi northwest of here.
Early season cutthroat trout use the shallows, holding in 3 to 15 ft. Expect a summer slide to 10 to 35 ft, then a winter hold in 10 to 40 ft. Put Break off the point first on the milk run — a drop-off near 27 ft that grades prime for summer. In summer the feeding windows fall in early morning and the evening. Tie on a trolled spoon (small) or an inline spinner and you're in the game.
| Season | Depth | Best window | Start at | Go-to baits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spring | 3 to 15 ft | dawn & dusk | Main-lake point (15 ft) | Inline spinner (silver/gold), Small spoon |

In spring, coho salmon run shallow here, mostly 3 to 25 ft. Midsummer fish sit out in 18 to 61 ft before dropping to 20 to 60 ft for winter. Summer coho salmon concentrate at Deep basin, a prime-rated deep basin around 52 ft. Fish it in early morning and the evening and you'll meet the bite. You won't need more than a dodger + fly or a medium spoon above the thermocline most summer days.
