Drawn out, this is 381 acres of water rimmed by 5.5 miles of bank. Index 2 on the shoreline: a few honest points and pockets, nothing labyrinthine. All of it is shallow-zone water — under ~15 ft across the entire basin, so the food chain has the run of the place. Figure 2.2 mi of water from one end to the other, 0.5 mi at the beam. Early season walleye use the shallows, holding in 3 to 10 ft. Even in summer they hold at 3 to 10 ft; winter keeps them in 3 to 10 ft. Tie on a crawler harness on bottom bouncer or a deep crankbait (trolled) and you're in the game.
