The depth data here comes from Murray & Pullar's Scottish loch survey of 1903, digitized from the bathymetric atlas published in 1910. Drawn out, this is 553 acres of water rimmed by 8.7 miles of bank. The 2.6 development index tells the story — a convoluted bank whose fishable edge far outruns the acreage. A spoon at the thermocline or a deep stickbait (night) is the honest summer answer here.

Early season arctic char use the shallows, holding in 4 to 15 ft. Expect a summer slide to 20 to 60 ft, then a winter hold in 10 to 40 ft. In summer the feeding windows fall in early morning. Tie on a jigging spoon vertical or a tube jig (smelt) and you're in the game.
