250-acre lake in Marion County, Illinois. The lake tops out around 25 ft. Traced from the shoreline, Lake Centralia runs 245 acres with 10.5 miles of edge. A development index of 4.8 means a maze of bays and points: far more casting targets than a round bowl of the same size. The shallow band under 15 ft claims about 89% of the surface on the model — that's where the groceries are. Figure 1.3 mi of water from one end to the other, 1.3 mi at the beam.
