49-acre lake near Québec. The lake tops out around 44 ft. The depth chart is built from real state fisheries GPS surveys, so the humps, channels and drop-offs you see are measured, not guessed. What the data behind the map says about each species, season by season:
Traced from the shoreline, Lac Uakau runs 49 acres with 1.5 miles of edge. The shoreline is moderately structured (index 1.5) — enough points and pockets to pattern. The shallow band under 15 ft claims about 65% of the surface — that's where the groceries are. Figure 0.6 mi of water from one end to the other, 0.3 mi at the beam. The water lies in Charlevoix MRC. In spring, brook trout run shallow here, mostly 2 to 15 ft. Midsummer fish sit out in 10 to 30 ft before dropping to 3 to 20 ft for winter. Summer brook trout concentrate at Break off the point, a prime-rated drop-off around 25 ft. Fish it in early morning and the evening and you'll meet the bite. You won't need more than a small spoon fished deep or a trolled lake-clear wobbler + worm most summer days.
