416-acre lake near Québec. The lake tops out around 72 ft. The depth chart comes from published agency bathymetric survey data, so the contours are survey-derived rather than computer-modeled. What the data behind the map says about each species, season by season:
On the chart, Lac Ouimet draws 416 acres inside 3.4 miles of shoreline. A shoreline index of 1.2 says round and simple: fish relate to depth changes here, not shoreline features. 27% of the surface is littoral (under ~15 ft) — cover, weeds and forage water. Figure 1.3 mi of water from one end to the other, 0.7 mi at the beam. The water lies in Les Laurentides MRC. Closest neighbour on DepthScout: Lac Gélinas, 2 mi west of here.

The spring pattern is a shallow one: brook trout in 2 to 15 ft. Midsummer fish sit out in 10 to 30 ft before dropping to 3 to 20 ft for winter. The spot to know is Main-lake point, a point in about 6 ft of water that rates prime for brook trout in spring. Plan around early morning and the evening in the warm months. Summer baits: a small spoon fished deep or a trolled lake-clear wobbler + worm gets it done.

| Printemps | 2 to 15 ft | dawn & dusk | Main-lake point (6 ft) | Small inline spinner (gold), Tiny spoon |

The spring pattern is a shallow one: lake trout in 10 to 40 ft. As the season builds they drop to 22 to 72 ft, wintering in 18 to 72 ft. Top water on the chart: Deep basin, a deep basin in the 72 ft range, prime in summer. Time it for early morning. Summer baits: a white tube jig (deep) or a magnum spoon on downrigger gets it done.
Depth note: when a documented seasonal range extends below this chart, the table shows the deepest mapped working water, not a verified holding depth.

Start shallow in spring: rainbow trout sit in 5 to 20 ft that time of year. Warm water sends them out to 8 to 30 ft; cold water stacks them in 8 to 40 ft. Top water on the chart: Break off the point, a drop-off in the 7 ft range, prime in winter. Fish it in early morning and the evening and you'll meet the bite. Throw a dodger + spoon (deep troll) or a flutter spoon until the fish tell you otherwise.

It's a drop-off holding about 7 ft of water and rates prime come spring. Prime time lands in early morning. A jigging spoon vertical or a tube jig (smelt) is the honest summer answer here.
