Noin 63% pinnasta on matalampaa kuin ~5 m — siellä ruokaketju elää. Päästä päähän vesi mittaa noin 19.8 km, leveimmillään 5.6 km. Vesi sijaitsee alueella Jämsä. Lähin kartoitettu vesi on Kerteselkä, 8 km itään.
