When the water first warms, european perch slide up into 1 to 3.5 m. Summer is a 2.5 to 8.5 m game here, winter a 3.5 to 10 m one. Start at Back-bay flat. It's a weed flat holding about 1 m of water and rates prime come spring. The feeding windows run early morning. Keep a drop-shot micro plastics or a small crankbait (perch pattern) rigged through the warm months.

Spring northern pike on Kulovesi hold shallow, usually 0.5 to 2.5 m. They move out to 2.5 to 6 m in summer and finish the year down in 1.5 to 4.5 m.
