373-acre lake in Finland. The lake tops out around 20 m. The depth chart comes from Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) bathymetric survey data, so the contours are survey-derived rather than computer-modeled. The season-by-season read for each species follows, from the map's own numbers.
Vesi piirtyy 152 hehtaarin laajuisena, rantaa 14.6 km. Rantaviiva on voimakkaasti rikkonainen (indeksi 3.4) — lahtia ja niemiä kaikkialla, mikä moninkertaistaa kalastettavan reunan. Noin 47% pinnasta on matalampaa kuin ~5 m — siellä ruokaketju elää. Päästä päähän vesi mittaa noin 3.5 km, leveimmillään 1.3 km. Vesi sijaitsee alueella Savonlinnan seutukunta. Lähin kartoitettu vesi on Iso Vehkajärvi, 9.7 km koilliseen.

Early season european perch use the shallows, holding in 1 to 3.5 m. Expect a summer slide to 2.5 to 8.5 m, then a winter hold in 3.5 to 10 m. Put Back-bay flat first on the milk run — a weed flat near 2 m that grades prime for spring. In summer the feeding windows fall in early morning. Tie on a drop-shot micro plastics or a small crankbait (perch pattern) and you're in the game.
| Kausi | Syvyys | Paras aika | Aloita | Vieheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevät | 1 to 3.5 m | midday & dawn | Back-bay flat (2 m) | Small jig + curly tail, Inline spinner #1-2 |
| Kesä | 2.5 to 8.5 m | dawn | Back-bay flat (2 m) | Drop-shot micro plastics, Small crankbait (perch pattern) |
| Syksy | 3 to 10 m | midday | Break off the point (1 m) | Jigging spoon (small), Drop-shot on deep flats |
| Talvi | 3.5 to 10 m | midday & dawn | Back-bay flat (2 m) | Tungsten jig + maggots, Small balance jig |
Come spring, look for northern pike tight to the bank in 0.5 to 2.5 m. Expect a summer slide to 2.5 to 6 m, then a winter hold in 1.5 to 4.5 m. Start at Shallow bay flat. It's a weed flat holding about 0.5 m of water and rates prime come spring. Prime time lands in early morning and the evening. A bucktail or a weedless spoon over cabbage is the honest summer answer here.
| Kausi | Syvyys | Paras aika | Aloita | Vieheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevät | 0.5 to 2.5 m | midday & dawn | Shallow bay flat (0.5 m) | #5 inline spinner, Spoon (red/white) |

Early season zander use the shallows, holding in 1 to 4.5 m. Expect a summer slide to 4.5 to 11 m, then a winter hold in 6 to 12 m. Put Main-lake point first on the milk run — a point near 2.5 m that grades prime for fall. In summer the feeding windows fall in the evening and early morning. Tie on a vertical softbait over humps or a deep crankbait and you're in the game.
| Kausi | Syvyys | Paras aika | Aloita | Vieheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevät | 1 to 4.5 m | dusk & dawn | Main-lake point (2.5 m) | Softbait on jighead (10-12 cm), Shallow crankbait at dusk |
| Kesä | 4.5 to 11 m | dusk & dawn | Main-lake point (2.5 m) | Vertical softbait over humps, Deep crankbait |
| Syksy | 3.5 to 12 m | dusk & night | Main-lake point (2.5 m) | Big softbait (12-16 cm) slow-rolled, Jigging spoon |
| Talvi | 6 to 12 m | dusk & dawn | open water | Vertical jig / mormyshka with bait, Slow blade bait |
The spring pattern is a shallow one: lake whitefish in 4.5 to 14 m. Midsummer fish sit out in 6 to 20 m before dropping to 6 to 20 m for winter. The spot to know is Deep basin, a deep basin in about 20 m of water that rates prime for lake whitefish in summer. Plan around early morning in the warm months. Summer baits: a blade bait vertical or a small jigging spoon gets it done.

Come spring, look for burbot tight to the bank in 6 to 20 m. Through summer count on 6 to 20 m; the winter hold is 4.5 to 18 m. If you only fish one area, make it Deep basin: a deep basin around 20 m that scores prime in spring. Best bite is after dark and midday. A heavy jig + cut bait is the honest summer answer here.
