In spring, lake trout run shallow here, mostly 10 to 40 ft. Midsummer fish sit out in 50 to 120 ft before dropping to 20 to 80 ft for winter. Winter lake trout concentrate at Break off the point, a prime-rated drop-off around 77 ft. Fish it in early morning and you'll meet the bite. Spring lake whitefish on Kennedy Lake hold shallow, usually 15 to 45 ft. They move out to 40 to 90 ft in summer and finish the year down in 25 to 70 ft.
