When the water first warms, brown trout slide up into 1 to 7.5 m. Summer is a 7.5 to 18 m game here, winter a 1.5 to 11 m one. Start at Keihärinkoski inflow. It's an inflow / creek mouth holding about 2.5 m of water and rates prime come spring. The feeding windows run after dark and early morning. Keep a spoon at the thermocline or a deep stickbait (night) rigged through the warm months.

In spring, burbot run shallow here, mostly 7.5 to 21 m. Summer pushes them deeper, 15 to 37 m, and winter fish settle into 4.5 to 18 m. Offshore hump is the standout, an offshore hump at roughly 8.5 m, rated prime for winter burbot. Time it for after dark and midday. You won't need more than a heavy jig + cut bait most summer days.

Start shallow in spring: european perch sit in 1 to 3.5 m that time of year. Warm water sends them out to 2.5 to 8.5 m; cold water stacks them in 3.5 to 10 m. The spring pattern is a shallow one: northern pike in 0.5 to 2.5 m. As the season builds they drop to 2.5 to 6 m, wintering in 1.5 to 4.5 m. Spring lake whitefish on Keitele hold shallow, usually 4.5 to 14 m. By summer they slide out to 12 to 27 m, and by winter most fish are in 7.5 to 21 m.
