63-acre lake in Missouri. MDC-managed public fishing lake. The lake tops out around 17 ft. The depth picture is modeled, anchored to the true shoreline and the water's published max depth — a scouting aid, never a chart to run a boat by. What the data behind the map says about each species, season by season:
Drawn out, this is 63 acres of water rimmed by 2.3 miles of bank — one island included. Index 2.1 on the shoreline: a few honest points and pockets, nothing labyrinthine. 86% of the surface is littoral (under ~15 ft), per the model — cover, weeds and forage water. Tip to tip the water measures near 0.7 mi with a 0.3-mi widest point. You'll find it in Johnson County. The nearest mapped water is Maple Leaf Lake Conservation Area, 10 mi to the north.
Spring puts largemouth bass in skinny water — 2 to 10 ft is the zone. Warm water sends them out to 5 to 17 ft; cold water stacks them in 5 to 17 ft. Start shallow in spring: bluegill sit in 1 to 6 ft that time of year. Warm water sends them out to 4 to 15 ft; cold water stacks them in 5 to 17 ft. In spring, crappie run shallow here, mostly 2 to 8 ft. Midsummer fish sit out in 5 to 17 ft before dropping to 5 to 17 ft for winter.
