20-acre lake in Algoma District, Ontario. The lake tops out around 80 ft. The depth chart comes from Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry bathymetric survey data, so the contours are survey-derived rather than computer-modeled. The depth data here comes from the Ontario MNRF survey of 1971, a decades-old survey (an MNRF lake survey). What follows comes from the same scoring engine that paints the spots above.
The drawn water covers 21 acres wrapped in 0.9 miles of bank. The basin is a simple one (shoreline index 1.4) — close to a bowl, so the structure on the chart matters more than the bank. 66% of the surface is littoral (under ~15 ft) — cover, weeds and forage water. Call it 0.3 mi long by 0.3 mi wide at the broadest reach. Algoma District claims this one. Its nearest charted neighbour, Myrtle Lake, is 1 mi to the north.
Come spring, look for brook trout tight to the bank in 2 to 15 ft. They move out to 10 to 30 ft in summer and finish the year down in 3 to 20 ft. If you only fish one area, make it Shoreline break: a drop-off around 2 ft that scores prime in winter. Best bite is early morning and the evening. A small spoon fished deep or a trolled lake-clear wobbler + worm is the honest summer answer here.
| Season | Depth | Best window | Start at | Go-to baits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spring | 2 to 15 ft | dawn & dusk | Shoreline break (2 ft) | Small inline spinner (gold), Tiny spoon |
| Summer | 10 to 30 ft | dawn & dusk | Shoreline break (2 ft) | Small spoon fished deep, Trolled lake-clear wobbler + worm |
| Fall | 2 to 15 ft | midday & dawn | open water | Small spoon (orange), Spinner |
| Winter | 3 to 20 ft | dawn | Shoreline break (2 ft) | Small jigging spoon, Tungsten jig + plastic |
Count 4 structure marks on this chart. The deepest, Deep basin, sits near 66 ft.
