Bowser Lake maps at 8,833 acres behind 56.1 miles of shoreline, with 9 islands in the mix. The 4.3 development index tells the story — a convoluted bank whose fishable edge far outruns the acreage. Start shallow in spring: steelhead sit in 3 to 20 ft that time of year. Summer pushes them deeper, 5 to 45 ft, and winter fish settle into 4 to 15 ft. The spot to know is Offshore hump, an offshore hump in about 22 ft of water that rates good for steelhead in summer. Warm-month bites cluster around early morning and the evening. Throw an orange dodger + fly high in the column or a thin spoon off boards until the fish tell you otherwise.

When the water first warms, rainbow trout slide up into 5 to 20 ft. Summer is an 8 to 30 ft game here, winter an 8 to 40 ft one. Start at Rock reef. It's a rock pile holding about 7 ft of water and rates prime come fall. The feeding windows run early morning and the evening. Keep a dodger + spoon (deep troll) or a flutter spoon rigged through the warm months.

In spring, lake whitefish run shallow here, mostly 15 to 45 ft. Midsummer fish sit out in 40 to 90 ft before dropping to 25 to 70 ft for winter. Fall lake whitefish concentrate at Rock reef, a prime-rated rock pile around 7 ft. Fish it in early morning and you'll meet the bite. You won't need more than a blade bait vertical or a small jigging spoon most summer days.
