When the water first warms, atlantic herring slide up into 1.5 to 7.5 m. By summer they slide out to 4.5 to 15 m, and by winter most fish are in 6 to 18 m. If you only fish one area, make it Warnow mouth: an inflow / creek mouth around 7 m that scores prime in spring. In summer the feeding windows fall in early morning and the evening. Keep a herring feather rig or a small silver jig rigged through the warm months.
